hellymisscloud
We're keen to get started as soon as possible to add to our family. We want to get our Eglu first though: does anyone have any idea how long Eglus take to get delivered? Are some colours more quickly delivered than others? If we want it soon, are we better off buying off ebay? I can't seem to find out from the Omlet shop about delivery times without actually ordering one! I really want to have my eglu - and our new chooks! - before i go back to school on 3rd September. Can i get one before then?
Yolky
It does depend a bit on where you live and if there is room on the van. It does seem that people who have ordered recently have been given dates of late sept even early oct. You may be lucky and they may have one avaliable before this in your area. I would ring them in the morning to see.

Although we quite like the orange eglu, we're so keen we don't care anymore (although pink might be pushing it!). It seems more important that the delivery van is coming our way. I wonder if it would be quicker to drive to Omlet HQ and pick one up! Better to be nice to my mum....

hellymisscloud
Omlet just rang to tell me that there's no chance of getting an eglu until 18 Sept if i ordered today. They explained that they're all made to order so it doesn't matter what colour i order. It also doesn't matter if i go to Omlet HQ to collect it because it wouldn't be ready any earlier. I'm so disappointed! I only just managed to convince my dad too (my mum was always keen on chickens). I wish i ordered it at the beginning of the summer hols and spent the rest of the time working on him!
Yolky
18th of sept is better than never and an earlier delivery date than others who have got who ordered a week or 2 ago.
chooklady
Mine was exactly 6 weeks from ordering to delivery, it goes very quickly especially if you've got other things to organise like a run and purchasing other chook items! The 18th of September will be here before you know it. Nicola
aaronmusgrove123
i noim back at school on the 9th of september and i ordered mine anout a week ago and getting it on the 9th woooooooooop i cant wait (but that is quite quick for me because we live in newcastle-upon-tyne and the pc said 15 sep so i would ring and order its the best way)
Egluntyne
18th Sept is only 3 weeks away. It will soon pass. Not long ago I had to wait longer for my red Eglu. Best to ring them and deal with a human being.
RubyReckless
It will fly by. I've got until mid October for my Cube. I'm frustrated by how long it will take (had expected a month, not 7 weeks!) but once the term starts and I'm busy the time will go really quickly, I'm sure. GreenGirl
I ordered mine on 15th June and it came yesterday, it is well worth the wait and there seems to be so much to read and research the time flew by (apart from mine had a problem and we couldnt finish it, so bit of an anti-climax)
