Patridge bantam chicken poorly foot?

One thing I am still deciding is if the roof should sloap forwards or back. The run is protected from the back by bushes/trees so should hold the rain off. At the moment I have the roof sloaping forward which I thought would protect the run from rain a little more although I realise that all the rain will run down onto the grass in front of the run. If the roof was to sloap backwards it would stop that problem but It would not protect the run from the rain so well. What do you think?

If the run has protection at the back already, I would have it sloping forwards.

You could slope it either way, with some guttering draining into a water butt. The chickens would love the rain water to drink as well.

we have the above, works very well. After all the recent rain our water butt is overflowing (in August! )

I sloped ours towards the back, mainly to give more headroom at the front and so the lowest part faces the prevailing wind to make it less likely to blow off in the winter.

You could pitch it both ways like a house roof? Maybe put up guttering both sides with a water butt? If not then maybe slope to the back as then no water POURS over you as you approach the front. You could add a 'blind' of rolled up plastic that can be raised or lowered depending on weather (Horizontal rain etc) Someone on her has done something similar, I think it's in the Run Inspiration thread.
