Mrs Webmuppet
Hi Poet, According to my trusty ancient Good Housekeeping Cookery Book to freeze apples - Peel, core and cut into quarter inch slices, drop into water and lemon juice. Blanch for 2-3 mins and cool in ice-cold water. or you can freeze them as puree - peel, core and stew in the minimum of water . Leave to cool before packing. I may have to refer to these instructions myself in a few weeks judging by the amount of apples on my apple trees!
Blackrocksrock
I always have apples in the freezer - I slice them into salt water - not too much - a teasp to a big bowl and when finished them all I drain and bag for the freezer - not so much salt as to cause a problem as you cook them either - it stops them going brown fine. theherd123
I chop up the apples and cook them in a little water, once they are cooked add the sugar to taste. Once cooked you can also add cinnamon or other spices to taste too. Leave to cool then bag up and freeze.
Blackrocksrock
My internet connection is going slow this week but if you do a google search for slicing apples into salt water for freezing - they will tell you to do it there but I dont use as much salt.
