josephine77
I've got a bit of a problem, Winnie my Pepperpot has just gone broody and is blocking off the nest box to Agnes, who today laid a softie (i think due to the stress of not being able to get to lay her egg.) I have a (borrowed) spare eglu at the moment which is housing Minnie, my youngest chook who I'm trying to introduce slowly to the others. All 3 chooks free range together during the day, and once I know they've laid I've been shutting the main eglu door to stop Winnie from getting back on to the nest box. Only trouble is, she's now started going in the other eglu and sitting in there too. I'm now considering putting Winnie (broody chook) in the spare eglu on her own, and leaving Agnes (top chook) and Minnie (newby) to get to know eachother in the main eglu - Agnes seems much less of a bully when she's on her own, so it might be a good opportunity to help along the introduction process. Any advice would be appreciated...what with one broody chook and one new chook it's all getting a bit confusing! Help! Jo
Egluntyne
You could try it under close supervision and see what happens. If they have been aware of each other for a while, it might be OK.
