Seagazer
Won £50 on the premium bonds a couple of times, the odd £10 on the lottery. OH won a radio off Virgin Radio I think it was. Daughter usually wins tickets to shows and concerts. She took her friend to see Elton John, I wasn't too upset, really I wasn't When I was a youngster we went with our Nan to an old peoples home and they had a fete on. We won virtually everything off a tombola stall. The oldies were not impressed and gave us filthy looks. We ended up refusing to go and collect any more prizes
Minnie the Moocher
I won a cat carry basket in a Felix/supermarket promotion. It's a padded fabric bag with webbing handles and a pawprint pattern - kind of like a Cat Holdall. I always get asked where it came from. In fact, I used it this morning (to transport the cat you understand, not as a fashion accessory) and was asked twice.
Minnie the Moocher
Oh yes, and I was sole winner on a rollover in the National Lotto last year I made that last bit up
Richard T
Before most of you were born, I won a Tiswas t-shirt and Polaroid camera in the Tiswas "Over 8's" competition. (as I said at the time, 19 is over 8.) I also thought we'd won a piano in a raffle at a function at the weekend. When I bought the tickets and asked what the prize was they pointed toward the piano. But then when we had a winning ticket they claimed the raffle prizes they were pointing at were all the rubbish on the piano, but not the piano itself. I still think we should consult our solicitor. (grrr, mutter, mutter, not fair, it's a con, trades descriptions act, ... etc, etc)

Cate in NZ
I very rarely win anything. That said I very rarely enter competitions, so I suppose there's a connection there . The only thing I can actually remember winning was about 20 years ago when I entered a very attractive picture of our then pet cat into a magazine competition and won a years supply of Whiskas. It was a great prize, except that at the time we lived in a tiny 1 bed flat with no storage space, and they delivered 365 cans of Whiskas all at the same time. There were tins of the stuff squeezed into every nook and cranny. Then after a couple of months he got bored of eating the same stuff all the time and started turning his nose up at it....it took us ages to work our way through it all
MedusA
it took us ages to work our way through it all Do you mean YOU ate the Whiskas, Kate????
Yorkshire Pudding
It is supposed to be fit for human consumption... Whiskas casserole? YS when at the crawling stage once got into the cat's Whiskas biscuits. He picked out and crunched up all the cheesy ones. Thoroughly enjoyed them too. I had to phone the pet food company to see if he was at any risk, and was told he'd be fine as all ingredients were human food grade. He did have a shiny coat and bright eyes for a while though.
