Phosphorus
Gemma seems to have got the habit from Roast. Both are broody - have chucked them both out of the nesting box and blocked it - everyone else has laid today! Well that explains why Gemma was losing bottom feathers - not a dodgy moult but trying to nest
Scooby
Poor girls! I really feel for you Phosphorus, one of mine goes broody at the drop of a hat. In fact, she's off again today I keep moving her out of the nest box as soon as she starts You'd think she'd get sick of all the to-ing and fro-ing
Phosphorus
Poor Gemma went up and down the Cube ladder for hours after I had blocked the nest, I caved in at one point and let her sit in there for 50 mins, no egg so threw her out again. 6pm the poor thing lays an egg on the roosting bars. Still think she is broody though due to feathers and wanting to puff up and snarl once she gets to the nest Blocked the whole nest tonight - we shall see who backs down first - me or them
Scooby
Ha, yes I've tried that too, but it's hard when you've got 7 girls who lay at different times throughout the day. I always end up backing down
