Children's Photography

Recommended Posts

I recently ran a course in P6 of a local primary school. I distributed disposable cameras with the instructions to Go! Take! Come Back! The kids went off and took shots on their holidays. Came back with a load of varied shots. I preferred the shots of the Elephant Sand Castle over the likes of fancy cruisers etc - the idea was to capture the spirit of their holidays.

I have spent today scanning in the photos and getting them ready for printing and the subsequent exhibition which will be held in the village hall.

Look what I found (I didn't take these - a 10 year old girl did)

I LIKE this one:

But this is my favourite one of all the class:

Thanks for looking everyone :D

There are a couple of other photos that I really liked too - a couple from one boy who either gave his camera to his mum (or Dad) or has a verrrrry good eye for shots and a couple from others which came out really nice.

Yes, it is snow! These weren't taken over the summer necessarily. The original photo has loads more info in it but the more I cleaned it up the more I wanted to concentrate on the centre part.

I have learned that you CAN play with disposable cameras but don't get upset by the s"Ooops, word censored!"es the machine puts on the photos :( almost every one of these has at least 2 s"Ooops, word censored!"es down the side and they were all sent to the lab at different times :(

Aren't the geese like some kind of impressionist painting? MY FAV :D
