Slats
Has anyone put this in there run? It says it is safe to eat but I am still not so sure. Brown Green would just need the odd hose down to keep it clean so it is tempting. Comes in Green and Brown Edited October 4, 2008 by Guest
eggypeggy
I haven't seen that before.. but it looks good. Moisture resistant too!
Sandychick
I couldn't get the link to work, but I've found it now! I think it looks like a great idea. I've just been having a look on the net at different suppliers. There is quite a lot of info about safety etc and it seems ok. The best thing about it is that it's available in a range of colours.......it can be colour co-ordinated with your eglu.......cool!

Hen Watch
I couldn't get the link to work either. Is this what you mean? Rubber Mulch in green or brown? http://www.homebase.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=20001&partNumber=014228&Trail=searchtext>MULCH&c_1=1%7Ccategory_root%7CBuilding+and+Hardware%7C10308035 Not sure if I can see the benefit of this in a run. Won't the chooks just eat it??????
Slats
Fixed the links now!! I am not sure they eat the wood chips and bark we have in there at the moment but they do make a big mess on it and we have to keep replacing it every 4-6 weeks as it gets smelly. If we could just give it a big hose down then I am thinking the poo may just wash off the rubber and it be nice and clean again? I may have an experiment and if we get bouncy eggs then I know they have been eating it!!
Egluntyne
Where will the poo go? It doesn't sound absorbent. Won't it just sit in a stinking mass underneath the mulch?
