RubyReckless
hiya! right... a) no not got cube up yet, DP got home late from working away and it was nearly dark. Not got an outside light. I am thinking zen thoughts, honest. (ish) b) no, not got the bars upside down, but we'll see how it goes when the whole thing is put together c) lordy only knows when that will be. 2 of the 3 kids are ill, I'm away meeting friends for the weekend (booked 6 months ago) so I am VERY much hoping DP can finish work early tomorrow. It's driving me nuts! I want that lovely red Cube! d) a fulcrum is the bit a lever tilts on. Think of a see-saw - the fulcrum is the middle bit that the see saw balances on, tilting back and forth. O level physics being dredged back up, here! My roosting bars seem to tilt side to side, but as it is not all in fixed place yet I am not worrying too much. I'm having faith in the system (so far)
RubyReckless
Woohoooooooooo!!!!!! It's up, it's fabulous. (almost) Getting stuck at the "attach the ladder" step was not, it turns out, my fault. Omlet forgot to include a set of bolts and small washers so the fact that I just *could not* make the dratted thing fit was not my incompetence nor the lack of another pair of hands. Omlet say "oops!" and are posting said bolts and washers. We've built everything else and have propped up a board held in place by bricks until the ladder can be fitted. Clever chooks have already worked out the drippy drinker thing, and how to get to bed. We dismantled the Eglu, scrubbed it til it shone, delivered it and set it up for my pal's 9 year old. They are very, very pleased. Chook shopping for us some time in the next 2 weeks, I think!
