I am getting my new in November and soon after i want to get some more girls, i know this is a bit of a daft question but should i leave my girls in the and put the new ones in the or should i put my girls in the and then use the for the new ones. I have three now and want to introduce four more.

It's all down to personal choice, but I'd put the existing flock in the cube and use the eglu to introduce the newbies. Once they are all together, you can wash and disinfect the eglu and keep it for introductions/isolation.

At the moment I have four girls in a but have an empty waiting for a walk in run to be built, OH very busy at the moment. When is ready I intend to put the girls in there and use the to introduce some new girls. Well that is the plan

I only wondered if i could do it the other way round as i could then buy more chickens . Never mind, I will do it the way that i originally planned - newbies in eglu

I introduced my Sussex Girls the other way round. My original trio lived in the Eglu while the new girls had the Cube to give them some degree of home advantage when they all went together a couple of weeks down the line. This worked really well and the introductions went very smoothly. The Eglu was then left in the run in case anyone needed to sleep in it if there was any bullying at night but it was never used once they'd all got used to the Cube.
