ross81
hi all i got myself a cream legbar(at 16 weeks old) and a silkie(at 20 weeks old) a few weeks ago and they have been living in a rabbit ark next to the cube. I let them out with the big girls (about 1 1/2 years) for the first time today the silkie just stayed in the ark but madge (legbar) came out then the big girls started attacking her.i know there should be pecking but this was quite bad. Should i leave it a bit longer or is this just normal and it will calm down? thanks
Egluntyne
Have a look at **these articles** re intros for some suggestions. If the legbar is now around 22 weeks and they have been living within sight of each other, I'd continue to let them mingle, after they have become accustomed to sharing treats through a barrier. You could supervise, broom at the ready, the first few times to make sure things go smoothly.
