ruth1
Well Poor Ella's had a rotten day today. No idea what got into their heads this morning but the girls ganged up on Ella and really had a good go at her. Thankfully I was on a go slow this morning( ok not unusual) so was around for longer than usual before I went to work. After hearing a good amount of squawking (always Ella) I went out to find them all pursuing her around the run and poor Ella looking rather naked and bloody, What a mess! I whipped her out of the run gave the other girls a few sharps words, their response yeah, yeah. So Ella's been tea treed, covered in Hypericum and Calendula ointment and had a dose of Baytril, and is currently residing in the Ferret shed with the bantams until our second bantam run is finished this weekend, where i have decided she can just live from now on. She's a lot perkier tonight than i thought she would be considering, you forget just how nasty they can be to each other when things are going well. I know what you mean about the slow mornings, I've been getting to work later and later every day since getting the girls and bunnies. Good job I'm on flexi time or i'd be out of a job

ruth1
She seems fine today, eating , drinking being her usual cheeky self, but with a half naked back, neck and head. My OH is shocked at the state of her and has taken pic's but im sure it could have been a lot worse. Feathers will at least grow back. She seems quite happy in the ferrets shed, although she is roaming loose in there at the moment, but she's ok and thats the main thing.
