oniondog
I don't know what everyone else did while waiting for their first egg? I started knitting egg cosies. The first egg arrived in February, but I am still churning out the cosies! As almost everyone we know (young or old, male or female) now has one, I thought I'd ask if anyone has any ideas for other knitting projects (small things -- I have a short attention span!), preferably hen-related, on to which I could divert my addiction...? Answers gratefully received. Meanwhile, here's a picture.

She has a website, for those EBT-addicts out there! http://www.oniondog.com

oniondog
They're fantastic!!! Thank you so much! I haven't started on the teacosy yet, but have just found a rather unusual book with a knitted nativity scene... Very tempting! Surely there must have been some hens in that there stable?! Olly
I don't know if it's the same book, but I remember my mum knitting a Nativity set some years ago. She was an inveterate knitter, always had something on her needles, and a friend asked for one. The final product was great, but I still have an odd sheep somewhere, she had trouble with the faces and some of them looked more like polar bears! My nativity set (not knitted) has chickens in. I'm absolutely sure there were some in the stable.

I think they're lying down, but they could be sawn-off sheep). I'm sure the scene will be much improved by some well-placed hens!
