pasq
Hi All -Pepper & Ginger have been great layers (pretty much had 2 eggs a day from them for quite some time!) However for past 6-7 weeks this has ground to a halt. They have both been in a biggish moult this year, even Peppers face looks a bit baldish!! Main feathers are looking better now though ps: I wormed them few weeks back & been adding a bit of poultry spice in their feed for past few weeks every so often.... I was just thinking the other day -they must be over 3 years old now. Do you think they'll ever lay again? Bit of a shame if it is........ Their eggs came in very handy!! moochoo
It's probably down to the moult and the rather dark mornings. I'm sure they'll still lay but maybe not as frequently due to their age.
kirbyhouse
Hi, Popcorn stopped laying months ago having provided daily for 18 months. She has definatley been through the moult but nothing has started up again. Have now taken her to vet and she is on Baytril for a week as she is very skinny - eats like a horse! She really seems fine. I'm sure yours will pick up. They are temperamental I have also been recommended to give her some growers feed as well as the layers pellets to see if that bump starts anything. All the best Sal x
