Scramble Posted October 30, 2008 Author Share Posted October 30, 2008 im gutted ive just made them some lovly porridge with coco-pops growers pellets gratted apple and some little oats and corn and it looked lovly(for a chicken) and none of them have even tryied it or like it aaron i haven't tried them with porridge yet, but I will tomorrow, They don't like grapes either (!) Blackrocksrock Posted October 30, 2008 Share Posted October 30, 2008 Just now mine get porridge made with some bread and porridge oats with boiling water to soak in to it and stirred to make sure all softened and added blitzed spinach and sweetcorn and some old potato from yesterday - I actually added some strawberries going off and they ate all but the strawberries. I made some layers pellets and poultry tonic into porridgey type consistency with boiling water and left it to go soggy. I took it out and even though they were free ranging (usually totally ignore pellets during this time) they WOLFED it down as if it was sweetcorn (OK not as fast as oats - but damn fast). MitchB Posted November 4, 2008 Share Posted November 4, 2008 this afternoon had potato peelings cooked mixed with raw chopped carrot tops (green bit) and then sprinkled with their mash wolfed it all the little darlings. Sat they had pumpkin mash porridge not overly keen though. Sunday had pumpkin which went fairly well. Yesterday were not impressed with broccoli and cabbage but at least I tried.
