I hate the hooky bits on the Glug and Grub! Mash gets stuck in them in the Grub, and water leaks out of them in the Glug. Why can't they be solid?

I know what you mean!!! I have to flick the food out of the grub with either a knife or an ear bud

I agree . The gunk that builds up is revolting and really hard to get out .

It is revolting however I just use canned air (the kind to clean computer keyboards, camera lens, etc.) and blow the debris out of the "hooky bits" before washing.

I hadn't realised until the first time I washed mine, big mistake . A bit of a design flaw there methinks.

Took me a while to pluck up courage to do it I must admit.

 

A poke with a knitting needle does the trick too.
