MedusA
My "Hare and Tortoise" Trollbead arrived from the Dutch seller today. Following Lesley's flying bead advice, I opened the package very carefully! Looking at the pics on various "genuine Trollbead" websites, it looks real enough to me, and if it is a copy, well "Ooops, word censored!"ody but me would know! I'm very happy with it and saved over 50% on jeweller's prices. It only took a few days to arrive too. But, of course, I'm not thinking about ordering some more. abwsco
Yeah I managed to get the Guardian Angel bead. My DD's are buying it me for Christmas. Of course one has since gone than less than I've (they've) paid but it's still half the UK shop price so I'm pleased. Didn't want to risk missing it. Did it work out that you'd saved a bit by getting the ones you've already got from Australia Barbara?
BarbaraJ
lol no that wasn't a problem as hubbbys card is on my paypal he doesnt have a paypal account. Aus site would only take paypal or credit card and hubby only has Amex but when he tried to use that on credit card option they wanted $170.00 p&p when using the Amex through paypal $3.00 misprint maybe anyway the only disadvantage was i got an email from paypal with the amount spent but i dont know what beads! Yorkshire Pudding
I'm reading your posts with great interest as OH has bought me a Troll bracelet and some charms and beads for Christmas. He took me to the jewellers, I chose the lock and chain then he and the DSs chose some things to go on it. I don't know what exactly but I'm sure there is a chicken on there! OH never fails to surprise me - he had a look at some of the photos you have posted, said, 'I like those, have they got a website?' and next thing I knew he was choosing beads! They are SO gorgeous and very addictive - will try to post pics once I've opened it and seen it myself (and mastered posting pics! ). Cooks
I am being taken to the jewellers for my birthday on Sunday for their special trollbead day and the kids are buying me my bracelet and other treats hubby said, so I cant wait! OS will have to be in his football kit though as we then have to go straight to the match!

Did it work out that you'd saved a bit by getting the ones you've already got from Australia Barbara? Well if they bought 5 beads i estimate they would have cost approx 130-140 at least and it came to £78 converted the 50cm necklace plus flower clasp and butterfly charm is £145 and 80 Aus $ i know there are cheaper places nearer home but i have used these, they work, cheap postage, no tax and easy for kids to use unlike ebay when they have no account. abwsco
OK, I now need banning from town as I had to go in again and was near the shop so have come out with one of the 6 prism bead sets and two of the stoppers. I've saved money though as the prisms are £19.50 each when not bought in the set. Should add that I did get birthday money the other week though and had yet to buy myself anything with it. Do I sound convincing-lol Thanks for posting those prices Barbara as it gives me a good idea.
Cooks
you make me laugh Anne What are the prisms like then?? how many in a set, what colours?? I am desperate for Sunday to arrive now! Now I dont know about the stoppers, I am not convinced of the need for them yet until I see them in my hand so I haven't bought them. Lesley
I'm just about to buy some stoppers as the beads slide around too much without them. I 'borrowed' the ones of Lauren's bracelet so that i could wear my own bracelet on Sunday.
Cooks
I quite like the idea of them twirling around a bit, but I might be wrong when I see it though. The stoppers are not cheap for a little ring are they!
abwsco
Lynsey, the stoppers have a little bit of rubber on and my bracelet drove me mad for the short time I had it on with just the beads rolling around all over the place. The jewellers split up two prism kits for me so I got four from the spring kit (not the denim and the yellow) and then the turquoise and the red pink from the ordinary prism set. They also told me they were getting loads of new beads in on Saturday so I should come in then I said no and more or less ran out of the shop-lol http://www.fabletrading.co.uk/glass.html
Cooks
ooh nice colours, hubby says I can pick the ones I like and then let kids choose my xmas pressies whilst in the jewellers as well. I am just not sure whether to go prism or glass bead myself. I love the prisms I have to admit they are beautifull.
abwsco
A lot of the kits seemed to have the beads with the "bobbly" bits on which I don't really like, plus they must have sold a few since yesterday as they didn't have as many glass beads in. I don't do brown normally but one of the lady's had the brown kit on her bracelet and it looked lovely. I need a lottery win or a Christmas bonus from work before I go in again I think! Cooks
http://www.fabletrading.co.uk/acatalog/GL63021.html I like this kit except for the 'fur' ones *shudder* I hate anything like that, but I love orange and think this is a great kit, although the kids want me to go multi coloured so this would have to wait. (I wouldn't buy unless they exchanged the fur one though)
abwsco
Oh the "fur" looked nice on the ones I saw and not really "fur" like iykwim. I just thought it was different swirls -lol
