I'm having an "it's a small world" day today!

 

Firstly, having offered to chicken-sit for a fellow Omleteer who lives a couple of miles away, I pop round to introduce myself and lo and behold! she works on the same campus as me (but in a different building)!

 

Then, when a young man rang up from the Co-op Bank to sort out my credit card and check my contact info, employer details. etc. he turned out to be a science undergraduate who was famillar with our institute and its website

 

Talking of the Co-op, they sent me a mini bar of G&B today with a promotional thing for my bank account Now that's what I call "interest"

Something similar happened when I went to Paxos on holiday, a little Greek island, only about 2x5 miles and met an ex patient of mine walking along the beach

 

certainly is a small world!

We've been having a couple of weeks like that as well - I've been having a running conversation with Ginette and have had a few 'small world' moments! - I think we must be related somewhere!

Kate and I found we had so many similarities when we first joined this forum - we called it the twiglet zone.....

 

No chocolate moments though

We've been to Paxos too - about 10 times!! And last time we went, we met a woman who I'd chatted to in a cafe near work at lunchtime!!

It's a lovely place isn't it?

 

My claim to fame is that we found a tiny deserted beach only accessable via a little hire boat, and while we were pic niking Jon Pertwee came and sunbathed next to us

We were in Crete last week, whilst waiting for the luggage at the airport my husband came over to me saying the chap in the distance was a geeky chap who he went to primary school with yonks ago.

 

When we got to the hotel he was staying there as well.
