4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

hi just had our cube and 3 chicken from omlet which are all fine and we bought 2 more chickens from a local farm but they seem to have runnny light brown poo rather than the black white normal looking stuff just wanted check if this sounds ok we thought maybe they were fed a different sort of food they were all supposed to be wormed so if anyone knows it would be very helpful thanx.................

One of mine had this for about a week or so when I first got her. Are they new?

If so I would be willing to bet it's just stress from the move and being put in a new home.

Mine had poo that looked like mustard for the first few days after they arrived but it settled down quickly - I am not sure why it was so strange at first!

 

Perhaps its something to do with a change of diet/the upset of moving - sorry I am not much use am I?

hmmmm thanx for replys could be stress but the three from omlet are fine but the 2 from the farm have the runny poo so they all came at the same time would have thought they would all be like it, and its been 5 days i would have thought any different feeds would have passed through by now strange............

Always a good idea to quarantine new hens a few days if you can.

 

Why not keep them on dry pellets and water, with only bokashi bran, which is fab for firming up poos, and either Avipro or probiotic yoghurt as additions. Normally that wouldsort them out in a day or two.

I have got 4 choocks that I got from omlet.I was concerned about a few funny colour poo's.I got so worked up I thought they had Blackhead!! I went on the River Cottage fofum And found out so much about choock poo it was very helpfull had lots of photos of different chicken poo! Realised that the choocks were healthy and did this funny poo every few days.Maybe give it a look.

That was really useful One of mine had caecal poos and I was a bit but now I'm reassured that this was nothing to worry about.

Some probiotic yoghurt in their morning porridge has now sorted the problem
