ubereglu
I know, I'm convinced, by buying me glasses you are paying for me to be able to see! I wear my specs all the time and so I get really good value for money. The last pair cost £80.80 and I had them for 2 years so that only works out to 11p a day. I need a new pair and never thought I would be brave enough to wear a colour like that but now I have seen you in yours I am thinking I might go for it! ubereglu
Great choice - love the colour. I need a new pair and never thought I would be brave enough to wear a colour like that but now I have seen you in yours I am thinking I might go for it! Faye x Go for it!!! I have to wear glasses all the time so I thought I'd go for something that suited me and framed my face really well. Also when choosing glasses look for a shape that suits your face first, even if it's not the right colour, as loads of frames come in different colours and half the time the opticians will let you order them in in another colour for you to look at and try on. You don't even have to say you'll buy them as they'll just put them on display. All you have to do is ask really...also don't necessarily go for designer ones just because they're designer-they may be so, but do they look good on you? Anyway, hope those tips help. I can't see without my glasses on so now take my digital camera or phone with me so I can view myself in them!
Faye&Ant
Aww thanks Liz - I didn't know about being able to order to order different colours etc so I will take my time next time to choose the right pair. I always feel rushed to pick a pair and end up with the first ones I try on and nothing suits me at all - in fact its a bit like hats on me as well!! I am coming up for my two year check up and want a nice pair I can wear all the time as wearing contacts everyday makes my eyes too sore - Hopefully I will end up with a fab pair like you
Phonix
aww they look lovely I really need new ones and contacts BUT can't afford them at the mo x Aww, how long have you had the current pair? I had the last pair for two years and as I wear them all the time the lenses had got really scratched. At the least I get a new pair every two to three years. As my prescription doesn't really change. Ive had them for ages...since before I started uni so about 2 1/2 years...had an eye test a couple of weeks ago and need new stronger ones cos my eyes are getting worse - could do with contacts cos I can't stand glasses on my face and really need to wear them most of the time x
ubereglu
Definitely a good idea to get new ones then, even if you can't afford them. Could you ask your Mum nicely for a donation towards a new pair?
Phonix
ha lol i think i know where I'd be told to go...i've managed uni without a loan with a contribution from my parents so I don't think they'd be very willing to give me anything else!! Just got to save up I suppose but had to uni the money I had saved to buy a new laptop when it decided to give up on life
little chickadee
Lovely Glasses Liz, they really suit you. That reminds me I really need to go and get my eyes tested again. I don't think I'll be as brave as you though!! I really like titanium frames as they are soooo light and I have a bit of phobia about plastic glasses, as in my day, that was all I was allowed on the NHS (hideous hideous hideous styles) until the current voucher system came in! Yours look amazing though.

missuscluck
Very nice specs Liz. A good choice. I always really find it really hard to choose new glasses. It always takes me ages and I need lots of help from the assistants. The trouble is I think that I always think NONE of them look any good on me. I need someone to tell me what looks ok. I love the bold colour choice you have made.

Yours look amazing though. I know what you mean about the NHS glasses though, you should have seen the ones I had as a toddler! Worrying thing is I can still vaguely see through them and was able to identify them as mine when we dug them out the desk a few weeks ago! I have to say I'm a plastic convert-before my new purple ones I had a red pair and before that I'd had three pairs of metal rimmed ones. I definitely prefer the plastic as the lenses fit better into the frames due to my long sightedness and thick lenses! I love all the colours too! I think you should definitely at least try on plastic frames if you need a new pair.
ubereglu
If you can have rimless maybe you could try them-providing you don't have a dog! Whilst doing work experience we had the lucky job of fixing two nice pairs of rimless specs which dogs had chewed!
