OK after all the indecision I just bought an Aga on Ebay!

You are welcome to be nosy - it's between 600 and 800 to get it installed - it was actually quite hard to find someone to do it as most of them don't do electric ones! The Aga dealers will only do it if they dismantled it - and it was dismantled by a different aga dealer - oh and if they were to do it they would charge TWICE as much!

This is not a cheap business but my seller has thrown in all her aga stuff, cookery books, pans, a pizza paddle, kettle etc which are all pricey items too.

Yep - in for Christmas but we wont be here - still it'll be lovely to come home to after our holiday.

It doesn't run on Econ7 as those ones are double the price and have terrible reputation for reliability! It also doesnt' have the programming function the very latest ones come with but the chap who is installing it is going to do as a sort of timer switch so that it will take less electricity to run - TBH I know the running costs are "high" but it is going to be part of my no central heating solution and they are not as high as running the oil burning system that heats the entire house - when I don't use half the rooms!
