Thank you all from Mini - the forum cleared her sourcrop!!!

My lovely little 5 year old chicken Mini wanted me to write and say a massive thank you for all the entries on the forum that have enabled me to bring her back round from a horrible sour crop problem. I turned to this site when Mini had spent a week or so hardly eating or drinking, hunched, pale and miserable, with her pale comb shrivelled up to nothing. The vets gave her a vitamin injection and steroids but said that without blood tests etc there was no more they could do.

With the help of this site (and her very smelly breath - how could I have missed it!?) I was able to diagnose sourcrop, and started trying members' various suggestions regarding how to treat it.

Although I don't know in the end what did the trick, the things that I tried are:

Tipping her upside down to drain away all the horrible disgusting smelly liquid inside her - it literally poured out.

Put some olive oil in her beak and massaged the lump in her crop that was still there (assumed this was compacted crop)

Gave her probiotic youghurt and bokashi bran

Put 'Daktarin' oral gel in her beak (she was not impressed with this)

Finally I gave her white maggots (bought online) hopefully to eat through the compacted crop (she loved these)

The day after she had the first maggots, the eglu was covered in small, dark poos, which I assume were hers and she seemed brighter. In the days since then, she has got more and more lively, and today she looks on top of the world with a bright red comb!

Many thanks for all the help that I was able to find.
