Where do you get your jars for preserves and jam from?

Recommended Posts

Sainsbury & Tesco sell the most awful  mint sauce in small jars for the princely sum of 9p each!

A visit via the bathroom to dispose of the contents, direct into the toilet is the best method of disposal - do not feel guilty about the waste - it really is bad :vom:! A cycle in the dishwasher gets them clean & the labels off. The colouring in the sauce does stain the lids, but it's all recycling!

Other members have mentioned that larger jars of potentially dodgy contents are also quite cheap in S & T.

Could also try Freecycle, ask at school/work for donations.......

Hope this helps & happy preserving!
