Cate in NZ
Has anyone else been sad enough to check out which trees earn most when they're harvested? I've worked out apple = $58, pear = $68, banana = $69, orange = $74, mango =$77, peach = $82, cherry = $84 and plum = $86 I haven't yet harvested a coconut tree so don't know what that's worth. I really shouldn't be here, only logged on really briefly to check my PMs, so no time at all to play farmers just yet today, but I'll send you all out some trees later today
Nicola H
Don't worry Cate i am as sad as you I have worked out how much you get for the crops....... Strawberrys £98. Tomatoes £201. Rice £129. Wheat £200. I have been growing lots of tomatoes as they only take a day to grow and they make the most profit............Happy farming everyone.... missuscluck
Hi all. A big thankyou for all my farm gifts. I have to admit I have ploughed and I am giving the ground a rest at the mo due to severe lack of time being the silly season and all. Just checking in to pick the fruit every now and then. Taken a leaf out of pengys book and getting my daughter to do the harvesting for me I have got a chicken coop now but still no sign of eggs. Guest
all this virtual farming (and the myriad other virtual computer games you can play) reminds me of a Phillip K Dick novel I read "The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch". Basically, the earth has become too hot (global warming) and overcrowded so the human race has colonised Mars. Mars is very barren and "Ooops, word censored!"ody wants to go there so to try and make the colonists lives easier, they're given a drug called Kan-dee (sp?) and in their drugged condition they play a virtual game with a doll called 'Perky Pat' and they can buy accessories etc for Perky Pat and live vicariously through the doll. I think the book was written in the 1960s, did we even know about global warming then?! Prophetic or what!
