Despite what my grandsons say I am not old! Sixty is the new forty isn't it?

 

nevertheless, this morning I:

 

remembered to switch on the radio half way through The Omnibus

 

popped upstairs for something urgent and forgot to go down again until half way through Desert Island Discs... (I was on here )

 

started peeling veg using my 3 colander system (1 for washed veg, 1 for peeled veg, 1 for peelings/s"Ooops, word censored!"s) then got confused and mixed it all together

 

repeat above by several times

 

went outside to say "Good morning" to the girls then forgot to change from Muckboots to blip blops on re-entering the house the mud will have dried by the time I get round to Dysoning

I forget lots of stuff all the time. I also never read important letters properly and then say I never knew about said important facts. Thats because I have skimmed through them read key bits and gone 'blah blah blah' though the rest.

I went to the office to fetch a piece of paper........I wrapped two Christmas presents and opened a parcel which had been delivered yesterday.....which I had forgotten - played with all the nice hand cream and some rose oil......

I have decided that my memory brain cells have relocated to my bottom. I have evidence for this. I will be sitting in the lounge and will think of something that I need from the utility room. A few seconds later, I am standing in the utility room with a blank expression on my face. A couple of minutes later, I admit defeat and head back to the lounge. As soon as my bottom hits the sofa, I remember what it is that I went in for!

Definitely catching, I'm a sufferer also. Went in the bathroom yesterday, stood there, couldn't remember what I was going in there for. Came out, sat in front of the telly and remembered I need a wee! (I'm 39 so its not age related!)

No, because I roast my potatoes in goose fat and I'm not sure about the morality of that......... (and anyway they get the leftover veggies - not that there are any left overs, just the extra ones we cook for the chickens )

Come on down!!! I've just got another big jar of goose fat - and I am not planning on swimming the channel, so need to cook some more tatties!

If you saw our three dogs you would think my little dog is running slow!! Our three can out pace a leopard (specially when there are roast potatoes about............)

Nope, not a veggie (only if I go out for a meal and the meat is not free range!)

I never consciously calculate the chookie portion. It just kind of happens. A bit like I never consciously eat a whole box of chocolates at one sitting. It just kind of happens
