DH saw something about the LG steam washing machine - apparently it's VERY good. Anybody got one or know someone who has? The cheapest we've seen it is £600. However, I got the brochure and googled it, and it turnes out that the programmes I would use most don't actually use the steam function! I can't remember the details now, but it was something like the steam function is only used on a 60 degree cotton wash. I can't find the review that pointed it out now, but it might be worth checking with LG before you make a purchase. There are lots of reviews out there, both from people who haven't used the machine but have read the blurb, and from people who've used it. From those who've used it, there are both good reviews and less good reviews. There's one detailed review here which seems o talk about both the good points and the bad points. http://dev.yurtesen.com/content/view/32/42/ My washing machine packed up shortly after (after 10 years trouble free service), and I decided to go for a machine made by ISE (Independant Service Engineers). I went for the ISE10, which has a parts AND labour guarantee for 10 years, and it's brilliant. ClaireG Posted December 16, 2008 Share Posted December 16, 2008 If you don't use many programmes and want a cheaper option, i can recommend the Indesit Moon. It's so easy to use although it did take me a while to get used to not being able to see the washing in the machine! It's also a lot better than my previous machine a Zanussi which cost a lot more. chickencam Posted December 16, 2008 Share Posted December 16, 2008 I f you are looking at spending that sort of money I would buy a Miele, we were recommended them by a service engineer and he said in an average home they would last upto 20 years.
