Other than that I made a list of things years ago of what to do at what time so that it all goes like clockwork - it looks a bit worse for wear now.

This recipe some may find useful at Yuletide..

1 cup water

1 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. salt

1 cup brown sugar

1 tsp. lemon juice

4 large eggs

1 cup of nuts

2 cups of dried fruit

1 bottle of Jose Cuervo Tequilla

Sample the Cuervo to check quality. Take a large bowl, check the cuervo again, to be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink. Turn on the electric mixer...Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add one tsp. of sugar...Beat again. At this point it's best to make sure the Cuervo is still OK and did not go stale, try another cup, just in case. Turn off the mixerer thingy. Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and then chuck the cup of dried fruit, Pick the ringin fruit off the floor...Mix on the turner. If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers just pry lloooser with a drewscriver. Sample the cuervo to check for tonsisticity.

Next, sift two cups of salt, or something. Who giveshz a peekle. Check on Mr. Jose again make shoore he's doin alright. Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add atble add a spoon of sugar or somefink. Whatever u can find. Gresh the oven. Turn the cake 306 Degree and try not to fall over. Don't forget to beat off the turner. Any to share people? Apart from locking your in-laws in the attic and going to the Caribbean?

Yeah we went' for that option this year! Some of you may remember from last year. As long as I can remember we have spent Christmas with my cousin Peter and his family. My Dad and Peter grew up like brothers as my Dad was 16 years younger than his sister and she brought him up after their Mum died. Since my Dad died we've heard every excuse under the sun from them, last year was the final straw they went to another family member nearby and still it never occured to any of them that it was just Mum, James and I for Christmas and TBH it's rather boring that way - sorta like a Sunday when none of the shops are open. So I said "stuff the lot of them lets go to Disney"

So LOOK OUT MICKEY HERE WE COME!!!!

TBH it still doesn't seem like Christmas, I still think Christmas is a time to sit around with your family, eat and drink too much, play a never ending game of Trivial Pursuit and argue over wether or not we should all stop having fun and watch EastEnders. But this could be even more fun - just different!
