tara Posted December 18, 2008 Share Posted December 18, 2008 I have just got 2 new battery hens this week.Ive called them henrietta and rosey, henrietta is starting to scratch the ground and learning to act like a chicken but rosey if l pick her up shes sick.She brings up clear fluid but only dose it when l pick her up. Im guessing she must be so scared of humans because shes eating drinking and a little more shy but seems ok otherwise has any body ever heard of a chicken being sick as ive never seen it myself but wondered if any body else had. I would just double check that she is definitely eating pellets/mash & pooing normally. If so, I wouldn't worry. Keep us posted on the lucky girls who have a special new home with you.
