Guest
I was determined not to send Christmas cards, they are a waste of money, bad for the planet and frankly I HATE writing them out. I have had loads from colleagues though and there isn't an "I'm donating to charity instead" list in the staffroom so instead of Christmas cards tomorrow there will be OOODLES of home made mince pies!!! All made with homemade mincemeat - suet free and bound to put a smile on peoples faces - thats 4 lock & locks full in a big waitrose bag. Most of them are cooked in the Aga but the first batch were cooked in the old oven. Didn't read the Aga book properly and put them in the Baking oven - pastry goes in the Roasting oven! I also made the Cranberry mincement in the Aga and it's very yummy!!! I have some special Christmas hampers to give out too!
Yorkshire Pudding
They look lovely, Pengy. I am feeling rather pleased as we persuaded the team at work to club together and send an Oxfam goat this year, rather than exchange cards. There are 25 or so of us so that would have been an awful lot of cards - instead we have sent a goat to someone who needs it.

Tiggy
we haven't done cards at work for the past 2 years we have a little tree and everyone ties on a gift tag & message & puts a donation in the collection box, the money is given to a local charity, this year its going to a women's refuge
