Nigella's Puddini Bon Bons

Recommended Posts

they look lovely Christian :D

I made mine in a bit of rush this morning, about an hour before our friends came :?

Couldn't get green cherries so had to cut up green jelly babies! (Ian usually has some Haribo lying around)

not a good pic but they weren't half bad, considering they were a rush job!

I have made them too.

No where near as posh as Kates as the daughters did the decorating,& we had to use Angelica as I couldn't get green cherries.

They taste pretty darn good though.

I don't have those smart little paper cases either, but love the idea of putting them into a jar like Poet has.

Mine still seem very sticky.......anyone elses the same?

Oh, & I didn't much like that sherry Nigella 'made' me buy, so I used Armagnac instead 8)

No, they're coloured icing. It took ages to roll out, cut and stamp 60 leaves and 90 berries  .

a perfectionist ;) they look lovely

Yes, I admit it. I drive myself mad sometimes  .

Mine are quite sticky too, Sarah. I had the paper cases left over from making Dad a box of chocolates a few years ago and as I was putting the bon bons in a box, I thought the cases might stop them from staining it.

Mine are a bit fudgey - made them today & just taste tested one. Will do the white choc & decoration tomorrow. Will they set or dry out a bit as they are very sort of gooey? Taste good though..I used normal sherry in mine.

oh my gosh! I left mine for 2 days (covered) to set and have just put the white chocolate on them and left the chocolate to set, couldn't resist trying one and they are GORGEOUS! It's going to take real willpower not to 'try' any more!

Mine had set a bit better, so just put the white chocolate on. I couldn't find green cherries or angelica or even green writing icing, so they have had to make do with just a bit of red glace cherry. I popped to Winsford this afternoon & looked in Asda, I suppose I should hav gone Morrisons. Never mind. Look good though & I know they are nice!:shh:
