Wow that is clever. Do the cubes have to be actually attached in some way to the outside of the run? I can't see any attachments in the photos. Or is it just heavy enough that a fox wouldn't be able to move it? I do have a cube but have only every got OH to move it.

someone told me they are too heavy for anything to move them. Hubby says I should make up my mind what I want

i showed non carpenter hubby pics of the roof hole in run and he says if they can do it so can I can see lots of swearing!!!

that has me thinking now.. becuase that picture shows me clearly I wouldn't have to move the cube and hurt my back, so I could either have it like that, or in the walk in and NOW I cant decide.. someone shut me a dark room!!!

1.I have a new cube,

2. new chickens,

3. extension to run design,

4.what to put the cube onto,

5.will i pressure wash it next to run or have to move it

yes I have the walk in, but a sore back to go with it..

We nicked Cinnamon's Idea. I gave our handyman a load of pics of different set ups, told him I wanted to be able to open the lid without ever moving the cube and hey presto we were tunnelled.

 

 

With the ladder attached to a little platform too - but the tunnel does get dirty.

 

 

This is the dry seciton of the run, summer house one side, shed the other and a wooden roof (recycled decking) covered with that corrugated plastic stuff. The other cube is on the open section of the run - same way of being joined though. We no longer shut either cube at night, we figure the tunnels offer extra protection against the elements.

thats great, unfortunatly hubby is making it and if i make too many demands he will quit lol so i thought the tunnel was an easier option but he says he has the right saw he can make the curved hole in the run i hope it goes well for him
