kitbag
My mum's birthday is really soon ( the 14th) and I don't know what to get her! I want to get her something really special that shows her how much I love her. I don't want to get her jewellery though because she never wears it lol Thanks guys! Minnie the Moocher
Something you've made? Don't underestimate the power of a handmade gift. The things my daughter has made for me are among my most treasured possessions. What are you good at?

jackiepoppies
My kids gave me an electronic photo frame on which they had downloaded loads of photos which can be added to. This is on my bedside table and is very precious to me as a constant reminder of my family. Jackiex
emily95
Could you play some of her favourite pieces and put them onto a cd for her? I bet she'd love that Emily xxx
Minnie the Moocher
Ooh yes Jackie, photos! How about a small 'boasting book' type album of a few special pics to fit in a handbag. I like the idea of a digital frame too. Is it a special birthday? You know, the sort with an '0'...?
kitbag
no that was last year! I would write her a song, but i am in the middle of composing my final music GCSE piece!
bigmommasally
How about making her some chocolates or a birthday cake . Or find photos of you and her through the years and make a collage with them. I would love to be given a really good book, chocolates and be given a complete day off of everything to sit and read without feeling guilty - maybe you're mum would like something like that? Chook n Boo Mum
no that was last year! I would write her a song, but i am in the middle of composing my final music GCSE piece! Could that be for her, then entered as an exam piece as well? Re digital photoframes, I went into Robert Dyas the other day & they had keyring digi frames for about £10...just an idea which would combine "brag book" and digi frame ideas above. I have no idea of the quality of the pics though, sorry Sha x

Chook n Boo Mum
Whatever you choose to do Megan, she'll love because you've obviously put lots of thought into it and most importantly it's from you ! Sha x
Seagazer
I was going to say a photo album. My DD bought me a fancy little one and filled it with photos of us and put little comments on the pages too. It's lovely and I will cherish it for ever. A cake would also be good. Mum's like anything their kids get them though.
Couperwife
what about playing her a piece of music and burning it on cd for her. if you are doing GCSE music, you teacher should be able to help you with this. or a cake / biscuits / chocolates would also work. good luck what ever you decide cathy x
