Soggy run

[mad house]

When we were buying our tent we were given the following advice:

Befor you buy a tent think about space. You have to imagine going away for a week and it rainging non stop..does the tent have enough room inside for everyonw not to be getting on everyones nerves. Remember to have space for table and chairs, stoce and extra table to put things on.

That turned out to be the best advice we could have been given.

Have a look and see if there are going to be any camping fares around where they have loads of tents up and you can walk around them to your hearts content and then decide.

Jules, how far are you from Stapeley Water Gardens? It's off the M6 near junction 17 or 18. It's really worth a visit, they have a large camping store, but also a large tent display area - when we bought our vango we had a good look at them all in situ. Much easier when you can see the tent in action.

Hi Everyone

If you are going to tow a trailer why not a Trailer tent,

These can at the moment be bought for not much as it like the close season and there are a lot around.

Good luck in what ever you buy the main think is to have fun and enjoy live to the full.

Best regards

I've gone for a Vango Diablo 600

It was £85 from the Loughborough "Go Outdoors" store, yesterday they had 5 left, & had only reduced the price that day

The store would not post us the tent, or even send it through to our local branch of Go Outdoors, & so I was VERY cheeky & PM'd Snowy to see if she would be able to get one for me & post it to me. Even better, her lovely husband has bought one for me ( & one for her as well) today, & will be coming ooop North soon & we can get it from him then, so we will have no postage to pay either.

Thank you very much Snowy, & it was lovely to talk to you yesterday as well

You are very welcome Jules. To be honest, OH has been looking for any excuse lately to go to GoOutdoors as he wanted a new fleece, so he was only too pleased to oblige!
