oniondog
It's official. I have become a mad chicken lady. I can't seem to knit anything without thinking 'this really needs a hen' -- hence this latest baby hat for a friend. Please share your baby hat images (even without hens!) -- I'm always on the lookout for nice patterns and have three friends all due imminently, so lots of excuses to knit! Happy knitting to all! oniondog
Would you be willing to share your pattern for the lovely chicken, please? Nothing special I'm afraid! It's just a simplified version of the ones on the famous teacosy: http://www.santaspostbag.co.uk/12-days-of-christmas-3-french-hens-tea-cosy.shtml -- without the complicated stitch-through thing, without an eye (whenever I put eyes on anything it always looks demonic!), and with a bit less stuffing! SAB
Fantastic idea to put a hen on top of the baby hat - my sister is having a baby later in the year - so I guess I will be stealing that idea!
Plum
That's great, I guess your friend could see it coming.
Berkochicks
Hi Oniondog, I have a great hat book called the Itty Bitty Hat Book. I have knitted 3 hats from it. I wish I could post pictures to show you. If you want to see, PM me and I'll email them back. Donna
