Hi guys just thought I would post about my daughters new chicken adventure...Hatching Eggs!

 

They are a bit of a mix Rhode Island Red Cockerel and either a Silver Sussex , Bluebelle or Copper Maran hen. Lets just hope they hatch and then we can see what they look like!

 

6 eggs went in on the 1st of January so it should be around the 21st they should all hatch.

Snap! I'm incubating for the first time too. Twelve eggs from a mixed bunch like yours and six Cream Legbars. Mine only went in last Saturday, I'll be candling tomorrow and with any luck some will hatch on the 31st. I am unbelievably excited!

How fab!! we've hatched two lots but used a broody hen as I haven't got an incubator. Fingers crossed for everyones hatchings, there is NOTHING in this world as fantastically exciting as going to check the eggs and hearing that cheeping noise!

I hatched some Quail last year, and my auntie has just been round looking at the videos of them pipping.
