tiggerlady
Why is it that whenever I clean the girls out(usually Thursdays) then I come in Friday lunchtime and look out at the girls ,they have pulled all the newspaper out of the house and had a jolly good go at shredding it??? Their bed is bereft of paper and hemcore now..so why are they soooo ungrateful~?Did I not turn the sheets down properly or shake the duvet enough? Treats are for afternoons ,so perhaps its annoyance and they want them earlier..
Egluntyne
It is nesting behaviour. Maybe they don't care for the journalism.

Janty
Thank you..hadnt thought of that.mind you it was The Sun Nuff said! Funny you should say that. We never buy The Sun because a/ it's pants and b/ they told a pack of lies about the Liverpool fans looting bodies at Hillsborough and it's an unwritten rule that any self respecting Liverpudlian who is able to read words of more than three letters buys a different paper. My in-laws gave me some papers to use in the poop trays and hubby was laughing at me because I wouldn't use the copies of The Sun as it was too common for the chickens to be in contact with. What s"Ooops, word censored!"bery! I don't care though...hate The Sun.
Tara.F
We used to keep guinnea pigs and I would save the pictures of terrorists, child killers, vile politicians e.t.c for my animals' latrine area Sad I know, but soooo cathartic

Cooks
I'll use any paper to line my girls poop trays with, they are not fussy who or what they poop on Mine are the same though, they love to pull all the shredded paper I put in their nest box, all over the place, the madams. I am going to buy them a childs dustpan and brush and they can clean up after themselves.
