After our death yesterday we went out today to a lovely laddy in Hook and got 2 more chooks. 1 light sussex and 1 columbian.

Now got to order extension for the eglu!!!! should have gone the whole hog and ordered a cube!!!!

We have put them in a old rabbit hutch next to the eglu so that the other one gets used to them, will put them in together tonight and then let them out together tommorow. Wish me luck, history tells me we might need it!! Fingers crossed this time we will be ok and the pecking order will be sorted quickly

Well the night time went ok.

 

let them out today and it seems one is being tolerated by Gerri but the little one isnt!

Theres been a bit of pecking but hopefully thats all sorted now.

Not sure if its because the little one is so small that shes picking on her i just wish she would have a go back and sort it out!!

yes I am picking them tomorrow a Bluebelle and a Skyline unless I get picked by any others whilst I am there ofcourse..

 

He's reserving them for me and holding on to them until I am ready run wise, as it needs adapting. Shouldn't be long though.

Great news, when I went to collect my last new girls I was only going for 3 but came back with 4 . Where are you getting them from - anywhere close to you?

yes about a mile up the road where I got sugar and cocoa. Although bless his heart he's getting the skylines in specially for me to choose one, he said he doesn't normally sell them.
