Janty
I realise that companies have to watch out for themselves but this is ridiculous. Our local TKMaxx store had some rather cute pottery chickens in today. They had small bits of paint missing here and there but they were quite cute. One would have looked perfect on our doorstep as it was a good size. I took it to the checkout and they refused to sell it to me because of the bits of paint that were missing. The checkout girl called the manager who confirmed that he couldn't sell it for fear I may cut myself and then sue the company. They then removed the other hens from the shelf. I asked if I could sign something saying that I was happy to buy it with the damage but they still refused. Instead they were going to smash them up and put them into the bins. What kind of society do we live in?

Janty
I wouldn't even mind if they had been chips out of the pottery but it was just flakes of paint missing.

Ardene5
Hi Why not email head office and ask if you can still purchase one it might be that they will be getting a bit of paint touch up. Or state that you think it is mad to throw away nice things which you can use. What have you got to loose?
