jlo
No real surprises and Wossy behaved himself - unlike Micky Rourke! I thought that Kate did really well in her speech too
Helly Welly
Mick Jagger was definately the best of the award givers. I was very successful at predicting who would win what. I'm going to try and see Benjamin Button this week.
jlo
What was with all the repeated bits in the Terry Gilliam presentation??? I thought that it was nice for JR to tell the chap from Man on Wire that his shirt was hanging out!! Also not sure why they don't work out that you don't have to bend down right to the microphones to talk. Do they not watch the people going up before them!! Old Speckled Hen
It's interesting to see how the real pros, although they should all be by the time they get to the BAFTAs, speak confidently and well without notes. You'd think they would all learn their lines. Sharon Stone and Mick Jagger stood out. Well done Slumdog, but we all knew it would do well. Wossy? Well, his tele ban seemed to have stolen his soul. Pity.

Guest
Wossy? Well, his tele ban seemed to have stolen his soul. Pity. I only put this on to see Wossy say "salad" - it was actually one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time - he told this seemingly pointless joke and then paused and "Ooops, word censored!"ody in the room laughed. Meanwhile online we twittered and tweeted as we laughed that he had done it so soon! http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/blog/2009/feb/08/jonathan-ross-baftas-salad As for the Baftas - all I kept hearing was Slumdog Millionaire - is it any good then? I guess I'll find out when they shove it on the telly! Oddly I'd ACTUALLY seen a film they mentioned, Mama Mia was on the flight out to Florida!
