Blackrocksrock
Had an e-mail from Ikea Ednburgh and got very excited as its a long way for me to cart stuff home and need a pick up truck for some of the bookcases! - Its great but what a price - we are in the over £90 delivery charge and there is a picking charge for them to pick the goods for you and a charge for over 30 items too. Maybe some of my workmates would like some things! Bit disappointed at the prices for delivery though.
dancing cloud
£90? Ouch! Plus a "picking" charge? Eek! Might be cheaper to take everyone's order, co-opt a couple of strong friends and hire a furniture van for the day. IKEA's charges really do sound excessive
Leicester_H
Hi Has anyone else used Ikea's delivery service ? I will need some stuff shortly, and as we now have a smaller car (than when we collected things before) a delivery service would be great. We usually go to the Nottingham Ikea since we live in Leicester (so not too far). The on-line postcode check says the charge will be £35 (which is reasonable). No mention of any picking fee ?? Anyone experiences would be appreciated, Thanks, H
bluekarin
I had some chairs delivered last May and it was £15. They were delivered by a Royal Mail van in three boxes and came very quickly. I think £90 is an awful lot for delivery tbh.
