Falkor
I am still getting emails requesting poo and I posted one bag on Freecycle about three weeks ago. I had an email within ten mins and it was gone within the hour!
Guest
we used to freecycle our girls poo all the time, got loads of takers. Now we'll just use it on the allotment or give some to the other allotmenteers. If you get no takers why not drop a few bags off at your local allotments, they might give you some produce in return if you make it a regular arrangement? I like this idea, in the current financial climate I think 'Bartering' is really going to make a big come back. I actually really hope so. I have a few jobs needing doing, can't afford a handyman but can give eggs, Guano, home made cakes, biscuits and jams etc in exchange. Hmm, maybe a new type of freecycle style website is in order for this kind of thing off to some googling on this... EDIT to add link to very interesting article in The Times.. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article5488528.ece
brambles
Ygerna, mum used to be in a scheme called 'Lets' where skills/produce was traded. I think she did typing. It was Warwickshire based if that helps in your search.

EDIT to add link to very interesting article in The Times.. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article5488528.ece It's already made a come back on our street. Our shower needs replumbing and piping to a different side of the house to stop it blocking all the time . A big and expensive job. It's been done by our next door but one neighbour as a swap for my OH setting up the website for his wifes new business . It's all worked out fab and just costs the time to people which we like spending with them anyway
TheCoop
After reading this thread, I decided to put out stash of poo on Freecycle as our 'poo box' was getting a bit full. I posted it as offered at 2.10pm and was collected by 4.45pm. Excellent!! Thanks for the tip!!
Ain't Nobody Here
Hmm, this has got me thinking . Both my compost bins are full to bursting and we're not vegetable gardeners (or flower for that matter ) so I think I know where our poop is going next cleanout . Funny, after using Freecycle to get some slabs this week, I saw a piece on the daytime news about Freecycle and how more and more people are starting to use it because of the credit crunch .
