fluffyknickers
Have a cube, super glug and three chickens. Do I bring the water in each night and empty it and then refill fresh each day or just leave it in and top up each morning? x
Larkspurs
If overnight freezing is an issue that could prevent your chooks from drinking when let out, then tip and refresh. Personally, I tip nightly anyway and refresh in the morning when I let them out. I like fresh water so why not my chooks? If you have added something to the water, like citricidal or something, and it's not freezing leave it out so you don't waste the dose. If you are away for a couple of days and it's not freezing, leaving the water out is harmless.
bigmommasally
I always bring the glug in everynight and give it a rinse out, you'll be surprised how much muck is in the bottom of it each day.
Olly
I leave the Superglug out all night, and just top it up the next day with a watering-can through the bars, as it's too heavy/awkward to lift out of the run easily. I take it out and wash it out once a week when I clean the Cube. The only time I bring it in is if the temperature is very low, as it's such a pain to defrost. Plum
I leave mine out but I use a bell water one and tip any hemcore out each morning. If it freezes I just push the ice out. I give it a good wash each week. When I used the superglug I never brought it in just topped it up when need and washed it the same. We all do different. Ain't Nobody Here
We bring ours in every night along with the grub. It gets a rinse out if it's mucky otherwise a good wash out every week or so.
thewhitehouse
I have a bell type and bring it in every night, tip it out and put fresh water in for the morning with a bit of Battles poultry drink. I find that at the end of the day they've managed to get food and bark chippings in there so its very mucky
