KateH
I want to get a cube for my girls but don't know what size run to order with it. I have plenty of space for the 2 metre run but not quite enough for the 1m extension as well. My question is, is it possible to overlap the extension onto the standard 2m run (by say 40cm or something) to give my girls as much room as possible? Jules.
Yes it is, & other people have done exactly this.
tom123
Plum has done exactly that! 'Plum Where Are You?' Tom

Plum
Hi there, I overlapped the run by 7 spaces so 14in which is 35 cms (I think) for the same reasons as you. Omlet said you can't do it which is technically right so I had a few compromises, but I'm happy. This is how the run looks now Because you have one on top of other the bars don't match up completly - there was quite a few choice words said as I struggled. It worked when I put the clips horizontally instead of vertically. and by the time I got to the skirt the mismatch was more noticeable. The clips are under a bit of stress so I will replace them each year, they're only a few quid. I didn't cut the run because the ends would rust. Its one option for small space but not perfect. But the occupants are.
KateH
That's great news and thanks for the fab pics. a little bit of mis-alignment is a small price to pay for more room for the girls I reckon!
Mrs Webmuppet
Thank you for that, we may get an extension in the future but another whole metre would be too much in my little garden but a few more centimeters wouldn't notice too much.
