Charlottechicken
I popped in to Homebase this morning and noticed they have quite a decent selection of fruit trees (£4.99) and fruit bushes (£1.99). I picked up a couple of the blueberries as they were growing really well, they already had flowers on . Worth a look if you don't have any of the other cheap shops nearby They also had a beautiful cake stand for just £5.99 which I have my eye on, I am waiting for a £20 voucher courtesy of my home insurance, so will have no trouble spending it

Tiggy
I made the mistake of planting blueberries in my garden and they promptly died apparently need acid soil so should have been put in a pot of ericacious (sp) compost
Cinnamon
I got a Loganberry & a thornless Blackberry from Homebase a little while ago. Must remember to plant them up
Guest
well, I've just been to our local homebase and they didn't have any They had raspberry, blackberry and blackcurrant; £4.99 each or 3 for £10 but no blueberry or loganberry we asked but you know what it's like "if they're not there then we haven't got any" oh well, not an entirely wasted journey as we bought a few bits and bobs; onion sets and a few packets of seeds. oh well, hope everyone else manages to get some. Charlottechicken
I made the mistake of planting blueberries in my garden and they promptly died apparently need acid soil so should have been put in a pot of ericacious (sp) compost I had two blueberries from Woolies last year and planted them in 'normal' soil (I forgot I had bought a bag of ericacious compost ), but in a pot. They flowered and fruited, albeit poorly, not sure if that was the weather or the builders I had in covering everything up Maybe my soil is mildly acidic I will plant these in ericacious soil and compare them Poet, did you find the fruit bushes inside or outside? I saw the "three for a tenner" raspberries outside, but the cheap fruit trees and bushes were inside with the seeds and potato tubers. Oops, just noticed you bought seeds and onions so would have seen them if they were there Hope you manage to get some elsewhere
