beapea
Awful problems with mites on our Orpingtons. One has been looking rather seedy and proved to have a heavy infestation apparently living on her shoulders and a few scuttling about on her tail feathers - what you read about them leaving the chickens during the day ain't necessarily true. We're about to dust them for the third time in a week, we keep the Cube scrupulously clean and I'm getting through Poultryshield like there's no tomorrow. They're getting poultry spice and Ropadiar to keep their spirits up but can anyone advise alternative treatments? Help!
Ain't Nobody Here
When Molly had lice I used this stuff which was very effective and killed them almost instantly. There is an egg withdrawal period but only a couple of days. Not sure if my stuff was "extra" like that one, but it looks the same. I got it from Pets At Home. Egluntyne
Xeno 200 *not licensed for use on poultry in UK is excellent and will deal with all manner of exoparasites, and some endoparasites too. There is an egg withdrawal period of one week following application.

There is an egg withdrawal period of one week following application. I use this stuff and it's so easy to apply to lots of birds and very feathery ones too.
