What a week! We waited a year for Bunty, our Cream Legbar to finally lay her blue egg (this happened on Thursday) and yesterday we got 3 new girls including Dolly, a Columbine. This morning Dolly produced the green egg on the left. The photo doesn't really show the difference in colour between the green and the blue but it's quite different in real life! The new Light Sussex also laid today I think!

The one in the middle is the same colour my Light Sussex lays, so maybe it was Scotties hen of the same breed that did that one

The one in the middle is from our bantam Marigold - although it looks shiny, I had just wiped it with a damp bit of kitchen roll, so it's not really! The Light Sussex egg is at the bottom of the pic I think.

our light sussex eggs are much darker than that, more of a brown than a cream
