Didn't the members' list used to have the location listed ? I was trying to search by location but it's not shown. Maybe I'm imagining that it was there before . It will do a search but you have to click on each member to see their location, which is pretty useless.

I need to find breeders near Inverness and could only think of Ali-s. Can you think of any others up that way?

 

(An old friend of my brother's that I haven't seen since I was about 15 , called out of the blue (on my brother's recommendation!) to ask if I knew of any breeders up there . He's buying some for his wife's birthday - bless .)

Thanks for that, Chicky . I didn't even know that existed . I had a look at the breeders list on the forum but it's rubbish for Scotland .

 

Both of those sites look great - I'll forward them to my brother's friend .

 

(Although I would still like a recommendation from an Omleteer . Just because a website looks great, doesn't mean the breeder is!)

Checked Practical Poultry mag Vicki and theres only one breeder in Caithness and one in Moray/Banffshire (the Scottish breeders list is a lot shorter than it used to be!).

edit - just checked the omlet list and cannot believe that a certain Scottish breeder is still there. I thought he had been removed a couple of years ago.....and after bad experiences from at least 4 people on this forum

Yes.......he was taken off the map (on the ordering page) but I see he's on the breeders list.
