Well after previously posting that I thought Gin was a bloke the clever little lady has laid her 1st Egg

 

It weighs 44g

 

 

Shop brought FR medium egg on the left and Gins egg on the right.

 

 

I am so proud. She laid it this afternoon sometime as I checked the nest box at lunchtime and it wasn`t there then. Got back from work and ran back up the garden like a mad woman!

 

OH is very proud too! He won`t let me take it down the pub to show everyone though

Well....I was making a quiche today and thought I best use Gin`s first egg. I can`t believe she laid it Friday and I have managed to wait this long to break into it!

 

Well.....I am AMAZED at how golden it is!

 

Here with five little bros bantam eggs - Gins egg is bottom right.

 

 

And here, stabbed witht the wisk and added a FR shop brought egg!

 

And her is the lady in question after dust bathing in my "secure" veg bed!
