Hi can you help,

 

Yesterday one of my chooks Rosie started to cough and sneeze, today she has a gurgling from her chest, other than that she still does all chickeny things and has still been able to lay her egg today. I thought that perhaps she was coming into moult as she has a few bald patches and her skin is red in places where I assume new feathers will come through. I have never experienced this before so I would be grateful for any assistance.

Sounds rather like she has Mycoplasma; a nasty chest infection. You need to get het to the vet asap for some antibiotics.

sorry I am late in responding but I agree with Claret, any kind of wheezing/gurgling noises need to be treated with antibiotics. Might be a respiratory infection.
