Single hen

I have spent the last hour looking at walk-in runs, new chicken possibilities, purple eglus and the like....MUST stop now - I think the sunshine just makes me want to fill my garden with chickens...does anyone else get this spring fever?

Because my husband is the most understanding and patient man in the world but even he has his limits and walk-in is definitely a no-no for him....hmmmmm, have however just been looking at aviaries4u and am about to work out the economies of it all. Just in case.

Well I was trying to listen to Prudence yesterday shouting in my ear and said to OH that I wouldn't be getting any more hens once the WIR arrives. He said I was being silly and need another couple of hens - well I have to now that he's said its ok - don't I?

Well done, Seagazer! I have had to take myself on a long walk with the dog and Prudence by my side in order to calm down. Which is why I am back on the forum instead of working...

I have just posted a reply on another WIR same!

 

I was dead against WIR but my moveable one has become a permanent one but I def dont want it too high ...so far its been really easy. My OH will not help as he doesnt want chicks

So I am out to prove that I can do this and am really enjoying making my run. I just have to get the kids to hold bits of wood for me whilst I bash my thumbs with the hammer!

 

I will take some pics of the project and post them once its nearer completion..I love looking at all the versions

Avaries 4 u do look v good and I did contemplate getting one of those they are good price so no wonder they are popular..look well built too

Indie 999 you are very impressive! The height is the problem here too as the space is right next to the patio where we sit and OH thinks it will be too imposing to have a big 6ft structure right there. He does have a point so any tips re lower/ u"Ooops, word censored!"trusive WIRs would be great!

Have to say my walk in run is wonderful and I would hate to be without it.
